About the Role: The Impact 360 foundation is seeking a motivated Skill Development professional who will engage in community level interactions, coaching and handholding for skill development and employability enhancement among the youth and women from urban poor communities in/ around Faridabad. The Trainer will work closely with the Project Coordinator/ Assistant Manager and the project leadership, as required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify training needs of the target group through collection and analysis of baseline data and triangulating with sectoral data and industry interactions.
- Develop TLMs in Computer Skills/ITES in alignment with NSDC/ Sector Council QPs/ Curriculum and curating from industry needs and best practices and contextualize the training pedagogies/ methodologies according to the needs and profiles of the participants.
- Impart interactive, practical, participative and professional skill training –on identified domains and ensure industry readiness for youth and women from low-income groups.
- Maintain discipline and attendance of the participants
- Facilitate linkages with all relevant job opportunities and On-Job exposures for the participants.
- Monitor and measure the progress of participants through assessment tests and other suitable mechanisms and adopt necessary remedial actions
- Document the process of training, placement and retention follow-ups.
- Support teams in MIS, documentation, communication, impact evaluations and stakeholder networking
Compensation: In line with not-for-profit Industry norms and depending on the salary history of the candidates
Computer Skills
Educational Background
- A degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant software or systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, etc.).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with basic software applications:
- Word processing (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
- Spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
- Presentations (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides).
- Internet browsing and email communication.
- Understanding of basic networking, hardware, and cybersecurity principles.
Teaching Skills
- Experience in training or teaching, especially in adult education or beginner-level contexts.
- Ability to design and deliver lesson plans effectively.
- Patience and the ability to adapt teaching styles to different learning paces and needs.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to help trainees troubleshoot issues.
- Enthusiasm and approachability to encourage engagement.
Experience
- Prior experience as a computer trainer or in a related teaching role.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving basic computer issues.
- Familiarity with educational tools and e-learning platforms.
